The authorities in Milwaukee were working on Thursday to piece together how and why a 51-year-old gunman killed five of his co-workers at the city’s sprawling Molson Coors campus.
The police have not yet offered a motive for Wednesday’s shooting, nor have they released details about the gunman or how the shooting unfolded, although a local newspaper identified him as a longtime employee who had feuded with a co-worker.
Here is what we know:
The victims were all employees of Molson Coors.
They were machinists, electricians and powerhouse operators from Milwaukee and its suburbs. On Thursday, the police identified the five victims as Dale Hudson, 50; Gennady Levshetz, 51; Jesus Valle Jr., 33; Dana Walk, 57; and Trevor Wetselaar, 33.
Police are still investigating what happened inside the brewery and the possible motive for the attack, said Alfonso Morales, the Milwaukee chief of police, who declined to comment further. “I do want to extend my condolences to the families of the victims,” he said.
