A New Jersey couple who was briefly booted from a Spirit Airlines flight over their 2-year-old daughter not wearing a mask said it was “such a lie” for the carrier to claim that they also weren’t following the rules.
Ari and Avital Eisenberg, of Toms River, denied that they weren’t wearing masks while flying from Orlando with their two children Monday after spending Passover vacation in Florida.
“Everything was fine and all of the sudden someone comes over to us and asks us to deplane. We did comply,” Ari told Fox News.
“I kept asking what didn’t we comply with and [they had] nothing to say.”
Footage went viral of a flight attendant forcing the family — including their 2-year-old daughter Rikki sitting on her mom’s lap eating yogurt — to deplane for “non-compliance” with the mask rules.
In the clips, Avital insists they’re “wearing masks,” but the flight attendant points out that Rikki is not wearing one.
