PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – The Phoenix mother who police say admitted to killing her three kids has been indicted.
A grand jury charged 22-year-old Rachel Henry on Monday with three counts of first-degree murder, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said. The next hearing on the case is Tuesday, Feb. 4.
On the night of Jan. 20, Police said Henry first smothered her 1-year-old daughter Miraya at her home near 24th Street and Southern Avenue. She then took her 3-year-old son Zane to a back bedroom and smothered him, too, while singing to him, according to police. Investigators said Henry then sang to her infant daughter Catalaya Rios and smothered her, according to court documents. She then placed all three on the living room couch like they were taking a nap. Henry was later arrested. Police said she admitted to murders and is being held on $3 million bond.
